Name: Jefferson Martin Dates: Birth date: October 29, 2004 Death date: July 25, 2010 Obituary: Jefferson James Martin, 5, of Lime Springs, Iowa, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, after his 3rd battle with cancer.
Jeff was a boy of few words. But with his shy smile and twinkle in his eyes he was everybody's friend. Jeff was his daddy's shadow on the farm. He loved the farm life but could have never make up his mind if he wanted to be a farmer or a truck driver like his grandpa. Jeff will be missed by all, but we are thankful that he is no longer suffering and that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
He is survived by his parents, James & Monica Martin, siblings Missy (7 years old), and Michael (2 years old) all of Lime Springs, IA, grandparents, Alson and Miriam Martin of Lime Springs, Iowa, grandparents, Randy and Sherry Unruh of Saratoga, IA, uncle and aunts, Nelson and Jan Martin of Fleetwood, PA, John and RoseAnn Martin of Saratoga, IA, Tim and Loretta Martin of Lime Springs, IA, Joseph Martin of Lime Springs, IA, Quentin and Krista Unruh of Riceville, IA, Glenn Unruh of Saratoga, IA, Beth Unruh of Saratoga, IA, along with 7 cousins, and numerous friends and relatives.
Visitation: Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday evening and also one hour prior to services, both at the church. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, IA is handing the arrangements.
Service: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of God Christ Mennonite in Lime Springs, Iowa. Cemetery: Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs, Iowa |
