Obituary:

Alice Aberly, passed away at her home in rural Lime Springs, IA, at the age of 93 years.

Alice Lucille (Stevenson) Aberly was born in Howard County on January 9, 1917 to William and Ellen (Clancy) Stevenson. She attended rural School in Paris Township. She was confirmed at St. Martin's Lutheran Church at Davis Corners, Iowa. On January 26, 1938 she was united in marriage to Lewis Aberly at St. Martin's Lutheran Church. Alice has been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cresco, IA for many years and participated in circle activities. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by a son Art of Lime Springs, IA, a daughter Karen (Gary) Shelstad of Zumbrota, MN, one grandson, Jeff (Marianella) Shelstad, one step-great granddaughter, Camila, all of Lakeville, MN, many nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter in infancy, six brothers, and six sisters.

Visitation:

Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, IA from 5-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to services at the church.



Service:

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco, IA.



Cemetery:

Burial will be in Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, Iowa.
